Steamboat Springs, CO. USA. was the location for a 2016 launch of the biggest firework shell to be sent skyward in the entire Western Hemisphere. The 36″ diameter shell was loaded into a giant steel pipe, or mortar that was buried in the mountain side and 58lbs, that’s right 58 pounds of black powder was used to propel the shell skyward! For comparison, the biggest consumer firework we sell here at USFireworks is 1-3/4″…but we think they are just as impressive! Well, almost. If your a lot closer.
The folks at Intel have pulled off something pretty amazing, but we don’t think it will replace fireworks any time soon. They launched 100 drones simultaneously computer programmed to pattern and light the sky in synch with Beethoven’s 5th for a dramatic scene never before attempted.
While there are some serious similarities in the set up to make this happen such as the choreography and software create to make it happen, we still think fireworks are much more entertaining for the masses.
The first video below is Intels effort with the Drone’s, the second video is a suppliers display USFireworks provided the fireworks for, which do you think is more entertaining?
Have you ever wanted to watch a huge homemade spinning wheel shoot off a massive amount of rocket fireworks?
To celebrate reaching 2 million subscribers on YouTube, DIY inventor Colin Furze crafted this intricate set up on the back of his pickup truck. The video is a flurry of bright explosions, loud music and celebrating, and comes only eight months after his 1 million subscribers celebration video where he set off 300 fireworks straight into the air from the back of his truck. In his latest video, he lights 120 rockets starting from the inside of the wheel and moving to the outside, and isn’t afraid to get close!
Expecting couples everywhere are finding creative ways to let family and friends know what’s in the oven. I experienced this personally a couple months ago while dropping my wife off (late) for a baby
shower / gender reveal party.
As we drove down the street towards the house the sky suddenly lit up with fireworks! Now, I had never before wished I was at a baby shower but this sure made it interesting! My interest piqued, I walked up to find out who and why they were shooting fireworks at a baby shower?
Revelers around the world have just rang in the New Year. Many traditionally celebrate with fireworks or Sky Lanterns. However, in November of each year, revelers in Myanmar’s Shan State celebrate the end of the rainy season with a traditional holiday called the Tazaungdaing Festival of Lights.
On the week of the full moon this fireworks festival attracts thousands to Taunggyi city. But this festival features something special. “Firemasters” build huge fireworks balloons that are used to carry fireworks aloft.
This tradition, though dangerous, has been carried on for generations. The fireworks are often had crafted by the Firemasters who pass the tradition on from generation.

Around fireworks circles, New York State was always considered to be the last state that would consider legalizing fireworks. Some said fireworks would be legal in New York when pigs fly! Well watch for flying pigs because Governor Andrew Cuomo has just signed a bill into law late Friday that will make small novelty fireworks, including sparklers into legal on June 1st 2015.
The law does not allow any fireworks in New York City. However, outside the city, sales of fireworks will be allowed from June 1 through July 5 and then again from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2 of each year.
US Fireworks can now ship all fireworks to Georgia! House Bill 110 legalized the sale of consumer fireworks in Georgia so US Fireworks can now ship all products found on our website to GA.
Governor Nathan Deal signed the bill legalizing the sale of fireworks in Georgia. The new Georgia Fireworks Law makes all fireworks legal. The bill was sponsored by Representative Jay Roberts, R-Ocilla. It looked like it was dead at the end of the legislative session. But Senator Tyler Harper, R-Ocilla, revived the bill and made several changes that satisfied opponents. The bill was then singed into law.
Fireworks can be dangerous if they are not used safely.
Do not allow children to use fireworks without adult supervision.
